OVER 40 HOMES ARE OPENING OVER 17-18th MARCH FOR BRISTOL GREEN DOORS 2012.

Our second major open homes event is now only days away and we look forward to people across the city coming to visit one or two of the great homes we have taking part. Visitors will see: a range of low cost improvements; whole house retrofits to near Passivhaus standard; city council retrofits; the latest technologies in action; zero carbon homes; superb solid wall insulation examples; and more! There are homes across the city including: Bedminster and Bishopston; Clifton and Keynsham; Lawrence Weston and Long Ashton; Sneyd Park and St Werburghs; Emersons Green and Easton. (see Google map below for more detail).
We have been distributing map booklets (see above) around the city over the last month which include some detail of every home and a pdf of the detail side is available here. The maps are available from various places including: Bristol Libraries, Create Centre, Architecture Centre, Hamilton House front desk (Stokes Croft), Kellaway Building Stores, The Green Building Store, Urbane, Ablectrics and many other bars, cafes and places around the city. A limited quantitiy of maps will be available from the homes on the weekend too.
However now you can use the Find a home to visit search tool on the left of this page to find the sort of home you want to vist and when. You can search by days opening, house type, technology or a range of other choices. The search result will lead you to a new page with a list of the homes and you can then click on them for a case study with much, much more detail. From this online page, you will also be able to download a pdf of the home’s case study too.
To see a summary of all the homes from which you can click through to the case studies, click here
So you can now really plan your weekend and tell your friends and colleagues too!
We look forward to seeing you at Bristol Green Doors 2012
