Transition Montpelier Urban Greening Work days

From the Transition Montpelier Urban Greening group:

Last year, over 100 of you turned out to the Urban Greening Workdays. You planted hundreds of trees, built planters, installed waterbutts, dug vegetable beds, cleared ground, picked litter and generally made Montpelier look that little bit greener.

You don’t need any gardening experience, and you can stay for 10 minutes or 2 hours. You don’t need to pay anything, or bring anything (though gloves are handy), and you don’t need to commit to coming every time. Have a natter with your neighbours whilst greening the local area.

To make it easier to remember, Urban Greening’s Workdays are now the first Saturday of every month. We meet at 11am in Montpelier Park, St Andrew’s Road, and move off to whichever sites are needing attention that month.

For 2011:

Saturday May 7 – in collaboration with Montpelier Arts Trail: kids activities, bbq, plants and cake for sale

Saturday June 4

Saturday July 2

Saturday August 6

Saturday September 3

Saturday October 1

Hope to see you at one of them!
